Showers becoming isolated and mainly affecting coastal districts, with inland frost. More organised rain and hill snow should then moving southwards during the early hours, with extensive low cloud and some mist developing. Some icy patches possible by dawn. Minimum Temperature -1C.

Friday:

Cloudy to start, with some rain and hill snow, but gradually becoming brighter and more showery as the day progresses, ahead of a largely fine end to the day. Maximum Temperature 8C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Becoming less cold into new week. Perhaps on the cloudy side over the weekend, but any showers increasingly isolated, with some warm sunny spells. Perhaps more generally fine later Monday.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 18 Mar 2025 to Thursday 27 Mar 2025:

High pressure is expected to be centred to the east of the UK for much of next week. Initially there should be a good deal of dry weather with sunny spells by day, but still the potential for some chilly nights at first. Daytime temperatures will probably start around average, but gradually increase day by day. As we move towards the weekend and into the following week, we are likely to see a gradual transition to less settled conditions. So rain or showers are expected at times, mostly focussed across the south and west at first, then more widely later. With winds predominantly coming from the south or southwest it will also become much milder, possibly warm in places.
