Largely dry overnight. Hazy sunshine on Wednesday, then turning unsettled.
This Evening and Tonight:
Local fog patches forming this evening but cloud and any showery rain may clear any fog for a time overnight. Clearing skies later may allow patchy fog and frost to return. Minimum Temperature 0C.
Wednesday:
A dry day with frost and fog patches slowly lifting. Thereafter largely fine with hazy sunshine but turning wet and windy overnight. Becoming milder. Maximum Temperature 9C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Blustery on Thursday with showers or longer spells of rain arriving later and possibly turning very windy. A calmer interlude to start Friday, then rain and stronger winds into Saturday.
UK Outlook for Sunday 8 Dec 2024 to Tuesday 17 Dec 2024:
Winds increasing from the north into Sunday likely to bring cold temperatures and blustery showers through Sunday with some sleet or small hail possible along windward coasts. High pressure then very likely to have increasing influence into the following week with more settled conditions becoming established for a time, though a showery easterly possible in the south. This should mean a good deal of dry weather with overnight frosts along with morning fog patches for some regions. Through to the end of this period there is an increased chance of spells of wetter and windier weather returning, these more likely in the north with southern areas having a better chance of more prolonged settled/drier weather. Temperatures varying around average with both some colder and milder spells likely through this period.
