Any mist and fog patches soon clearing during Saturday morning. A chilly start with plenty of sunshine and becoming warm again. Likely turning more cloudy during the afternoon, especially across western areas. Breezy by the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 22C.

Tonight:

A cloudy and mild night with a band of showery rain, perhaps heavy, crossing from the west. Drier again by dawn with some clear spells. Winds mostly light. Minimum Temperature 9C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Bright or sunny spells and showers most days, with some longer spells of rain at times. Temperatures close to or rather above normal, but some chilly nights are possible.

Much more mixed weather conditions than of late, with low pressure systems and their associated areas of rain and showers often affecting the UK. The rain is likely to be heavy at times, and the showers, most frequently affecting western areas, will also be heavy and blustery in places, with isolated small hail and thunder. There will also be some brighter, drier spells in between rain and showers, although probably large amounts of cloud too, with limited sunshine. Unsettled, wet, and occasionally windy conditions are most likely during the first few days of this period; beyond this, and certainly into the following week, there is an increasing chance that cooler, northerly winds could develop, followed by a less unsettled spell. Temperatures mostly around average for the time of year.
