Drizzly outbreaks overnight, but brightening up on Monday.
This Evening and Tonight:
An increasingly cloudy evening with murky and damp conditions developing overnight, especially over higher ground. Patchy fog may form later too as skies turn clearer from the west. Temperatures generally holding up above freezing but localised frost is possible later. Minimum Temperature 2C.
Monday:
A murky morning with low cloud and fog slowly lifting. Brighter skies in northern counties gradually extending elsewhere, giving some hazy afternoon sunshine in places. Feeling milder but turning breezier. Maximum Temperature 9C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Mild and rather windy on Tuesday with rain arriving later. High pressure building thereafter to bring a dry period with some sunshine. Turning somewhat colder with overnight frosts becoming widespread.
UK Outlook for Friday 7 Feb 2025 to Sunday 16 Feb 2025:
High pressure will sit close to (and probably to the east of) the UK in this period. Consequently, southern and eastern areas are likely to see the driest conditions, with lightest winds, which could lead to overnight frost and fog with temperatures a little below normal. Further north and west, there is a risk of incursions of Atlantic air and fontal systems at times, which would bring some rain here, but with milder temperatures. There is a very low chance that if the high orientates in such a way that a more easterly (rather than southerly/southeasterly) flow develops, a spell of much colder conditions could develop across the UK, with a risk of wintry showers in some parts.
